i'm trying to put some cathodes in my xbox, but they're a bit too big because of the glass casing on them, is it possible to remove this casing, and then have them still work?

eg. look at the picture

Yes, that is what people to to get the small ones to fit above where the controller ports are on clear xbox cases.
