How do i get the eeprom off an unbootable locked hd? I cannot boot any games and i dont have modchip. Can i use xboxhdm to do this? The hd is an original western digital. I cannot boot the xbox up. I dont have the eeprom either or hd key, it is backed up on the locked hd though.

Isnt there a way to unlock the hd by unplugging the xbox dvd drive? And then i could access the unlocked hd with a pc and retrieve the eeprom?

no u can only rebuild the hard drive hat way, if u want to unlock a hard drive you can get the eerpom from the motherboard, by using a eeprom reader, or you can unlock it by using some software that will flkash the firmware, but it will erase the drive

Nevermind.. I read your post again..

If the drive can be unlocked by the xbox, then it's possible.. Otherwise you're screwed..

Yes, you can unlock the hdd with the Xbox and HotSwap it to HDM1.9. BUT, it is easier to make a HDM disk with the M$dash files and the Softmod gamesaves on it and just hotswap it and rebuild the drive. Or just rebuild the C drive with the M$dash files if you want to have a stock Xbox.

There is an Awesome tutorial by PIRRUP in the Tut's section that gives you a step by step. Here is a link
