I've got my softmod setup to dual boot to the MS dash using the eject button. When I enter the MS dash this way and no DVD disk it seems to be stuck at the xbox live configuration screen. It won't back out past that point.
I can enter the MS dash from XBMC without the issue but in 640x480 mode only (even though MS dash is set to 1080).
Is his normal behavior? I gues I don't mind much since the MS dash doesn't do anything useful and games run fine through it.

yes for example nknaves 4.5 when you hit the eject button it only gose to the live screen no ms dash. if you need to access ms dash do it through xbmc or what ever dash your useing...

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't broken. I don't see any need to use the original dash.

i only use ms dash to copy gamesaves/xbox live accounts to a memory card.
the only thing else i could see it used for is the cd player feature....
