Posted: Tue May 16, 2006 5:47 am Post subject: I can't get a larger hard drive to work..
I can't create a larger Hard Drive for my xbox. I am using xboxhdm, i create the iso with the eeprom.bin file in eeprom folder and the contents of the c drive to c drive. I then created the hard drive wen i dropped it in the box i got a error 05 which is lock hard drive error. How do i lock the hard drive? I tried didn't work. I choose lock or unlock drive type lockhd and then nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong.

I did the same thing as you.......sept I got an error 06. Anyone know that what error means?

sounds like you used the wrong eeprom to lock it that suxs. sorry cant really help you guys with xboxhdm i never used it.

well i don't know wats happening, i copied the eeprom into the folder and the c files into c folder created the iso and burnt it to a cd. den created the HD. I am trying to use a Western Digital but it seems not to be working. I have a Maxtor i'm going to try dat, I heard that the Maxtor are the most lockable drives, so maybe the western digital is not lockable?
Wat u guys think??

you transferd the 256k eeprom.bin ? it has to be that one not somethng else... once the partitons are made then you boot to 3) minilinux with lockin/unlking utiles and type in lockhd -a exactly like that... and then pop it on xbox.. if you got error 05 then you just created the files and never locked the drive lol. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

What do I did, I turn the pc on with the cd in and the hdd power cable disconnected (why because the pc recognize the hdd and freezes it). When the linux menu appears, carefully reconnect the power cable and follow the steps of locking a hdd with xboxhdm. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

DO NOT ATTEMPT lol you know you can disable primary drive and xhdm1.9 will still find the hd even thou its disabled? well no offense buddie but yea theirs always a solutoin . you nearly blew up your entire eletronicle system. and keep in mind that not all pc have the same bios... some do and some dont _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

Yes i know its old but i still like it!
But can it be done ?
Tis is what i want to do. Install a softmod on a new xbox.
Then copy the Eeprom backup to xboxhdm 1.9. and the C:\.
creating the cd, and installing a larger HD. But the softmod is still installed then. because i copied the compleet C:\ drive.
Can i than just boot up slayer en override the Unleashed softmod ?

yea you can install it but the current ux is more newer then the slayers.. and theirs little if not nobody that uses slayers... try out aid 3 its really awesome...
this is what you do , mod your xbox with sid 4.0 or 4.5 ( 4.5 is on aid 3 download) put those exploits to mem card then to xbox . mod it then get the real eeprom.bin from E/udata/214554 /0000000/backup/eeprom.bin here
transfer it to pc via ftp and download a fresh retail ms dash from pirrup signiture. and extract it then transfer it to xboxhdm1.9 /C ... the same with eeprom.bin on its EEPROM folder. burn the iso and fellow the tut. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition
