So, let me get this straight. If I rip a game to my xbox using DVD2Xbox, I can play the game without the disc? Or do I need a mod chip to be able to do that? All I have right now is a soft mod. _________________ Xbox version 1.0

yes

nope
a softmod is fine. just go to your main dash when done go to the game directory and bam its there. just load it up and in joy.

Just remember that you should only backup games that you own. Anything else is considered Piracy, which we do not condone. _________________

and also keep in mind that the retail hd has very small limited amount of space .... halo 2 wont fit and usualy 1-3 game fit if not none. so upgrading a hd is defiatnaly worth it ... you can burn games dvds music etc etc... keep in mind what enigmah said... and games loade faster if not dont load at all but you have to use your retail game for x box live. _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

SID 4.5 is most updated, and Yes it's not hard to upgrade your hdd.
