I was happy with the minimal effort it took to get the 5 LEDs lit up. After I put the Xenium Gold on and pressed power, nothing happened (and yeah the stupid plug is in).

I'm pretty sure I have it facing the right way. The long part of the chip is facing the back of the xbox. It's the same way the other xenium chip is on.

I saw a comment about being on the front row of pins and was a bit confused about that. All 12 pins are supposed to be hooked up, right?

No frag nothing :/

ugh

Edit: The long part of the chip is to the left of the xbox. If you were facing the xbox, you'd have to turn the xbox 90 degrees counter clockwise to read the labell correctly.

1.6 mobos are very sensetive when it comes to modifications, or simply making contact in some points, but if you can't figure it out, try this out.

I seem to have a v1.6 case because that piece that should be cut off isn't there...

Any other suggestions?

I'm thinking that maybe the connection where the pin header would normally be is a bit shabby. I'm going to try and use rivots and see if it helps. I lost a rivot though :/

Well I took the chip off and put it back on paying more attention to making sure the lpc points were in proper place. Now when i turn it on, it frags and opens the dvd drive.

At least I'm getting power but now I have no idea what to do ;(

make sure your chip is installed correctly, lpc rebuild if it's a 1.6 (this is a must), and your d0 point must be correctly installed.

I'm glad it's got power now, the next step is trying to see what of theese 2 problems you might have.
