I need to uninstall this softmod to run live and after i want to install a newer version as i have SID 2. Can anyone give me a step by step way of taking ALL of SID 2 out of my xbox and returning to the MS dashboard. I have made a backup of the EEPROM and Hard Drive during the installation of the softmod. I cant FTP to the xbox as i dont have a crossover and i dont want to make the CD's as i cant seem to do it properly.

you may use AID disc, and format C and install MS Dash 5960, and that should make it retail, if your softmod is that that new, and has files visible on C.
Also, if your live plan to update dash is that one, than AID will do it all. _________________ Xbox v1.1

ok so you want to play on xbox live and still have your xbox softmoded?
then download aid 3. go to > fourms> auto installer deluxe> aid 3 download... torrents or http mirror downloads...
then burn the disc go to advance options transfer sid 4.5 to hd .....
then from the disc install ms dash 5960 as primary dash ... take out aid3 put exploitable game coldboot it and re mod with sid 4.5 and put dual boot=retail and then you can have a fully softmoded xbox and xbox live compatible . _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

i just read i need a dvd to burn this AID on, i only have a cd burner, do i need to buy a dvd burner for this? im sorry i dont have a dvd burner.

You can burn it to CD-RW, just dont put too many addon packs on to the AID ISO. _________________

ok i got aid 3.0 to boot on my SID 2.0 xbox, now what do i do to put the sid 4.5 on it?
I just read the thread http://xbox-hq.com/html/postt14827.html and there seems to be a problem with the sid 4.5 on the aid 3 disk. is this problem still there with the aid disk 3 i got?

so you want to update the softmod right? ok boot aid3 then go to advance then choose sid 4.5 and it has 2 options install to hd or mem card put it on hd then backout to aid 3 menu this time choose install ms dash . install it as primary dashboard .
from there take out aid 3 and put your exploitable game then power it off and power it back on with game inside _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

when i tranfer over the sid 4.5 files to the hd, does it overwrite the sid2.0?
And no need to format c right, just install ms dash as primary?
When i install sid 4.5 and i pick dualboot=retail, does the ms dash for the dualboot already come installed in it?
