what is the best playstation emulator and can i save my games directly to the hard drive?

pcsxbox is the only XBOX PSX Emulator.. It runs your games off your DVD ROM or your XBOX HDD.. All you have to do is make images of your original playstation 1 games using CDRWIN so it gives you a GAMENAME.BIN and a GAMENAME.CUE after it has created the image on your PC HDD..
Then all you have to do is copy it to your XBOX HDD using flashfxp (FTP) into the psxroms directory.. The PCSXBOX will scan the roms directory when it boots..
The latest release of the PCSXBOX emulator for xbox is in the 'XBOXHQ AUTO INSTALLER' and is the easiest way to install apps to your xbox..
All you have to do is burn the .ISO that you download from the VIP DOWNLOADS section and boot it in your MODDED XBOX..

In reply to your previous post I have been kinda having the same problem...should I use Daemon tool for this? I keep having the same problem and that is that when I download a game onto the PC (lets say Castlevania for instance) I get a file that has numerous other files on it...now when I go into Daemon to mount the image it will not let me mount the entire Castlevania folder, it just attempts to open one of the folder in it and no success...should just try the CDRWIN u suggested or am I just going completly in the wrong direction?
PS thanks for the help this site is much more helpful then lets say some other Xbox websites I have been on!

Heres what you need to do:
1. Put the PSX CD you which to copy in the CD Dive. (i.e. Castlevaina)
2. Load up CDRWin.
3. Go to Extract Discs/Tracks/Sectors
4. Under Image Filename, type what you want the BIN/CUE to be called. (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\Bob\CASTLEVNiA)
5. Click on Start.
6. Go to the kitchen and grab a snack.
7. When the CD Drive pops out it should be done.
8. Go to the directory that was listed in Image Filename (the lcation of where you saved it)
9. FTP to the XBox and copy the BIN/CUE over to the appropiate directory (I.e. Castlevania.BIN & Castlevania.CUE)

Thank you so MUCH! That stpe by step break down got me to get those fgames working! But unfortuantly here is another barrage of questions: Certain games seem to have very bad audio and stutteriing probelms...for example, I got FF Origins and Castlevania to work fine, but when I played FF7, it was skpping allot with the audio and game...and FF9 only did it during the battle scene...but not only that , but it would not display any of the command screens during the battle scenes as well....and RE 2 would not play at all! Any suggestions?

I'm having Problems with it too...
The only game i can get working is
Bushido Blade, I have others like
gran turismo2, colin mcrae rally
& Driver + loads more that don't
seem to want to accept any imput
from the joypad!... guttin!
Still if anyone knows if there is
a list of games that work for it that
would be usefull.
or maybee we could make one?

I really need some Playstation roms, my pcsx roms folder is empty. I sold all my games along long time ago, so the method mentioned ^^^ up there isn't even an option for me. I was just wondering if the roms aren't that huge of files (idk) with this contest going on... and people uploading files like crazy... can maybe these (pcsx roms) get uploaded too. Even if all you upload is Twisted Metal 1, I'll be Well back to the races, which I'm losing horribly in.
