if you are on xp , go to google and search password recovery on xp. i think you have to make a floppy password recovery diskette , boot the computer up with floppy drive set to boot up first and follow the instructions

Unplug Pc , remove cover, take battery out of Motherboaerd for a few mintes. Put battery back in, plug it up, turn it on. Any bios password should be gone.........Invalid configuration mans setup in bios is wrong, you can enter bios by hitting the F1 or delete jkey during bootup, Dell may be different. Anyway hit the key when it says "to enter setup hit ? key" ? being your f1 or delete et.......find the return to default settings command set it back to default sttings save and exit reeboot

Look for any jumper pins on mobo that may be set to enable password, you should have manual showing the default pin settings. do not enable bios password.
