Ok i've read the tutorials and still need help. I make the iso and burn them but they don't play on my xbox. Do you have to pick a file you want to make into the iso? Wht I do is just choose the whole folder to make as the iso. I can ftp games that are already iso to the xbox with no problem. I use complex to open the. I have the orginal hd in the xbox. Any clue to why by back ups don't wrk from the disc? Thompson drive dvd-r verbatim dvds burned with nero

Use dvd2xbox to copy game to box hdd. Then ftp to xbox with quix, create iso of game you copied to box hdd. Then burn Iso image with DVD decryptor........... Try different media if needed (mfg, -r +r)

Make sure that the ISO is made from the files in the directory and not the directory itself. The root of the image(the top of the file tree) should have at least a file called default.xbe. If your not sure you made the ISO right, you can always check by exploring it with cxboxtools, check the top of this page for a link.

Also ensure that you burn at the lowest possible speed as this will increase compatability.

the easiest way to make a back up is to use craxtion 4.0 just install craxtion, it has it's own ftp program built in.set your ip address and test to make sure you are connected, to make a back up just make a folder on your pc for the ripped files to go to, in craxtion just click onto rip disc and follow the instructions, once the disc is ripped just close craxtion and reopen and click onto create new iso. it will patch the files if needed. then just burn the iso with nero , i use memorex dvd-r media and burn no higher than 8x and have never had a problem, after you have burned the iso make sure to empty the folder that you put the ripped files in, so you are ready for the next back-up.i made another folder to save the iso's to, you can also use craxtion to make multi-games with the iso's if you want, hope this helps jimd1122 p.s. if you use nero to burn, just click onto the burn image mode and click the iso to burn
