Just curious to know is the SID 3 package really that big, if so, why?

I didnt know whether or not to download that version.

the download is large. then you build it and burn to disk.

So you burn it to DVD or CD? how would that mod the xbox? Xbox's dont read media disks until there already modded right?

Turns out, its not 148mb its 18mb, for some reason the description says 148mb... weird..

There are lots of great tutorials that will explain what needs to be done, search tutorials. Now this is really two parts SID and AID. Sid and Aid go hand in hand for soft mod. The download will contain the game exploit files which you use to get Sid on the xbox via memory card or other ways. Then you use the AID disk which you have to build for your likings, AID will have your dashboards and other applications. Im being vague because you really should take the time to read some tutorials. You will have greater understanding then on what needs to be done. These guys here are INCREDIBLE and we all will help you with questions you have. Please read some Tut's first, you want be sorry.
