Hi members,
Just thought id let all the interested PC guys know we will soon have a new website all together on our network name pc-hq.com.
Most of you im sure will become involved as we all need help with our pc from time to time and all of the admins thought why not start a new network site.
Anyway, give it some time and the domain will be working here:

There isnt currently a site running but shouldnt be hard now that ive written all the custom code..
talk soon and hope you like the plans and ideas i have to keep our community active and happy..

Very interesting....maybe I will actually utilize my computer (tweak) more if I see there is a valid site with credible answers which I feel HQ will be able to provide....only one way to see if it will be good or not....lets give it a shot. _________________ Xbox V1.6

btw.. Went out on a limb and bought all domain names just in case we want or need them in the future.. I dont like coming up with ideas and seeing someone has already gotten our domains. I dont exactly have the cash at the moment especially after paying another 12 months hosting in advance for the server but hey, its got to be done.
So i have registered the following:
- ds-hq.com
- ps2-hq.com
- rev-hq.com
- pc-hq.com
lol.. I just paid my credit card down and now its back up.. lol
Its all good.. and in the best interest of our community here which is only going to explode..

well somebodies got to do something for the scene and we all know that the other sites we used to use are just in it for the money. I have more then proved im totally the opposite.. Ive got 60,000+ members who can vouch for me. .lol
I still dont support game piracy and never have so i dont think it will be a prob. As long as we stick to our guns we should be fine.
I love modding but not the game piracy that is sometimes associated with it.
I myself do not have one backup game that i do NOT own already.
I use my xbox for the extra capabilities like roms, and media players and ofcourse the fast loading times from the xbox hd.. lol
With the plans to open a gamestore we are going to have to watch it even more closely.. But i bet its gonna be sweet guys.

man, if you had known this would take off so great (the xbox-hq site in general) you could have just bought hq.com or headquarters.com and made it all sub domains. would have saved a little bit...
but im here to support you no matter what you decision, like you said, this site is only going to get bigger. if we keep up our good work and continue our success over to the other sites, we, i think, will become one of the largest network of sites around. we just need to continue offering quality things. the only problem i can foresee with the pc hq would be the incredible amount of downloads. im sure there will be an appropriate action with that taken when the time comes, but at any rate, i hope all of this does very well. I know i will be around for quite some time, so im here when ever you need me hobbs. Im consantly learning new things each and every day so i will always stick around.

i know what you mean.. But i did have that idea in the beginning and the domains were always taken.. lol. You have to remember too ive made plenty of other very popular websites which most of you probably would not have known about.
http://www.satellite--tv.info was on one of my first networks..
the network was called only.auz.net and all related sites had a subdomain.
dconly.auz.net (DREAMCAST ONLY)
hardboyz.aus.net (WRESTLING SITE (not me lol))
satellite.only.auz.net (sat hacking - had to be closed (for hilarious reasons).. No bad ones.. lol

It really was ok but i never liked sub domains.. Very ugly..
I like urls easy to remember.. lol I also hosted in australia and was costinfg over $1000 per month AUD.. Thats when my HQ website started.. About 2002 and it also was hosted in australia.. I stopped all my other sites to start supporting guys who liked xbox.. And here we are.. lol
also, different domains help with a page rank on google.
So its not all that bad at $6 per domain for 12months..

lol.. btw.. minimum of 3 characters for a domain name.. Well atleast now.. It changes i believe as they progess but god knows.. I cant know everything hahahha
lol, i dont think i would mind hearing the hilarious reasons for which the satilite site was shut down...
but at 6 dollars a year on domains, GOOD DEAL. lol, i usually pay about 16 a domain.

Hmmmm. ps2-hq.com huh? I've never thought about modding one, perhaps it's time.
Dang forahobby, with all these domains, how in the world are we going to keep up with all of them. Whew.... I like the PC one, I've fallen out of PC's for so long, I know I'd like to get back in to tweaking them. I used to have a blast. All pretty much self taught back in the Commodore 64 days. I still laugh at the "Blue Ray" Disk thats coming out but what im waiting for is 100 Terabyte 3.5-inch Digital Data Storage Disks. Or the 1 TB internal harddrive what ever gets out first lol. _________________
