when i put a dvd (movie) into the tray and cold boot it boots up as this online updater application then locks up at that screen, when i use launch dvd is dose nothing, when i use xbmc it just locks up, im confused, any help would be appreciated. thanx (i have the up to date version of XBMC)

I use to have the same problem. I'm guessing you must have a samsung drive. Samsung drives generally don't read DVD Movies well no matter how much i tried. If you're not sure what drive you have, just google and type "xbox media compatibility" or you can also find it on the website if you search. If you have a thompson or phillips, then im guessing you just have a weak laser.
