Hello to anyone who can help me. Ive been trying softmods i tried the Ndure & i liked it but i would like to change it but i really dont want to make a cd becasue i only have dvd discs and im not going out to buy 1 cd to burn for 1 reason. i dont have my xbox ftp'ed and im sure i shouldnt just delete random files fomr the xbox. PLZ could anyone help.

Ok so chaing the softmod to what ???? retail xbox or diffrent softmod?
ARE U TRYING JUST TO CHANGE THE DASHBOARD??? just coruious...
cds? or dvds ? why u mention about the disc? ftp 4 what? to backup and save xbox info????
look if its restorying the xbox the way it was retail then its as simple as runnin the exploitable game ie 007 auf or sc or ma then load to the installer and uninstall softmod ... and u should be fine ... _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

what i mean by cleaned is when i turn it on it shows 13 service required Call customer support. the light flaseh red and green, all saves are gone, no dashboard comes up, my soft mod was the Krazie Ndure softmod when i try to load a game it just stays on the weird propt and flashes the light

I could be way off but I'll tell you what I did.
When I first softmodded the box I used the splinter cell exploit and install a soft mod then put evoluion x on as a dashboard. I changed something I shouldn't of and I ended up with the # 13 warning and it said call ms blah blah blah...I got all freaked out and tried to reboot....same thing again #13 please call..... What I did than was put splinter cell back in the xbox and turned it off...turned it back on and The game loaded back up. Once back in the game I started over again and went through the process of reinstalling softmod and dashboard, once back up and running everything looked normal and I was off again. I think that something was moved or erased, maybe even just changed in settings or whatever, I don't think you erased your harddrive or deleted important files so hopefully this will help.
also I backed up all of the files once I installed dashboard\softmod the first time so I'm not sure if the had a direct impact to my metheod actually working....best of luck!

thanks for that i tried it and the game did in fact load but whewn i went to load linux it wasnt there so i dont have the installer on my xbox and without that i dont iknow how to get it back on there

re do the softmod try to eject to get 2 ms dash . if that doesnt work then i never try this but give it a go...
get ur mem card with softmod hacks installers.. and if that game accepts loading from mem card then ur good...
if not then ur gonna have 2 hotswap...
also try to load any unsign game or anyting a moded xbox would play.
try newer games to see if xbl updates the dash...

Well, of course burned games don't work. You have no hacked code. But we don't have to worry about that, because your burned games are backups of your originals that you own.
Now, onto your softmod. I have no idea what the hell you did, but daymn, man, lol. Let's ee if we can't fix this. You can't load up you file manager, so you can't get a softmod file on there (still can't figure out how you got the error 13 and wiped out your e drive). And you can't run a softmod exploit from Memcard. It just doesn't happen. 007 will read the mem card, though... give it a whirl. If it works, copy your H drive to E:\UDATA then reboot, and run the softmod just to be sure.
Now, you never answered Gus' question about what you were trying to do. If you were trying to go back to stock, that's going to take some work. Especially since you don't have a MS Backup because you formatted everything... so follow these steps (and I think you said you can't FTP? I'll factor that in):
1. Use your recovered softmodded xbox to load AID2.11
2. Once it loads, go to file manager, and delete everything on C. C DRIVE ONLY AND DO NOT REBOOT YET!
3. Leave the file manager and select "Install Dashboards"
4. Choose "MS dash 5960" let it install and eject the disc.
5. You now have a recovered Xbox
Heheheh gotcha, made ya think it was gonna be all hard. That's it, 5 steps. Hopefully that all works out for ya, then you can resoftmod using SID4 or SID3 whichever you like.
Seeing as how you seem to be pretty new to this, I suggest you go with SID4 singleboot, everything's pretty much locked down and you won't be able to make the mistake of getting an error 13 or 21 ever again. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

i dont know eitther but did u try any methods that were mentioned?? oh dracula and angels.. if he cant read burn games then aid wont work either!! i just ask him if it can play em why? cuz if it runs backup games so then means he can run unsign codes so mean that the softmod is stil here some how..

well so far ive tried many things im reading the tutorial to hotswap now from what i get my xhd needs to be unlocked which mine isnt and i dont have the code written down to unlock it. if i could get a better explanation on that i oculd try that.

Ok i just had an idea (not sure if it will work but i can def try it. i was thinking i could always just go out and buy a bigger har drive couldnt i. im not going to buy a huge 3oo GB HD cause i dont need that much. but if you could reply SOON and say if that ould work then i can go out to future shop and buy a new one today.

Your box is modded now, that's what I was assuming. So you can run AID and unsigned code. Follow my steps and you will have yourself a standard, stock xbox ready to be softmodded again.
And, yes, you can put a bigger HDD in, even without a chip, check this tutorial out:
