Don't know what drive your using but if it's one that is larger than the original 8 gigs, it might be one that isn't lockable. What is the model#? Can't you just lock it from the dash or is this a softmod project? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Be sure the the eeprom.bin file is 256k and is placed in the \xboxhdm\linux\eeprom folder before you make the cd. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

Did you choose option 3 during boot? If not you won't be able to use that command. To see if that drive is lockable choose option 4 and type "atapwd.exe" (you can press "F1" to see the legend).
You can also make a new password and FreeDOS locking disk (for the new HDD) from HDM 1.9 by starting xboxhd, option 6, then option 7 (with the new HDD installed). Each HDD needs it's own password. The password will be different for each HDD you put into the same XBox. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

I did choose option 3 I like to note that I made this cd with HDM.1.5 when you say starting xboxhd, option 6, then option 7 (with the new HDD installed) do you mean install on the Xbox or PC ?

Connected to the PC. The PC needs to generate the new password to lock the HDD. _________________ I think I like fixing Boxes more than using them!

The only hard drive I've used which has locked automatically after using xboxhdm is the stock hdd. What I do to lock my drives is make the unlockx dos disk from xboxhdm and also put the eeprom on a seperate floppy disk. Run xboxhdm and choose option 6 then put in the floppy with your eeprom on it and load it in then write down the hdd password. Connect your hdd to the pc then load the unlockx dos disk. Choose option to lock hdd and then type the password. Should work it hasnt failed for me yet and I've got a maxtor 5200rpm 80gb hdd in my xbox. Hope this helps.

How did you get on any luck? Im using xboxhdm v1.9 - you can get it in the downloads section of this site. Don't know if it is much different from v1.5 cos I've never used it.
