hi, im trying to put my xbox in a pc case. here is a diagram of what it looks like so far.

Now, in the area colored by purple is where i want my power supply to go but the cord doen't reach that far, is there a way i can extend it? if so plz tell me. my power supply's mobo cord looks different, here's a sketch (dont have dig. camera)

ok is there an extension cord for this plug or do i have to cut the wire and add longer ones and tape it back up (wut kind of wires inside??). also, see where the dvd drive yellow cord is at? see where my dvd drive is? is there a way i can extend that too? ty

hey my xbox is in a pc case and its sweet as hell i will take pics and upload them tonight. I wired one set of controller ports to the front usb and was going to mount the other realset of controller ports into one of the 3.5" floppy drive bay covers but the cable got messed up in the process of extending it. i used the extra controller ports to make converters for normal xbox controllers. One thing you should pic up is a processor heatsink fan. My xbox would shut down after so long if i didn't have a box fan strapped to the side and since I work on computers I just went to my box of computer supplies and tried it out and it worked. Get a fan with the mini 3prong connector since there is a cpu fan 3prong connector next to the cpu ill post pics of my setup later tonight once my friend is done using my xbox lol.

later
-Zack

When you start to extend your yellow cable, try and do 1 wire at a time to save
confusion. as for the psu, I'd mount it anywere it fits and just add another socket on the high voltage side.

I Love my pc cased xbox as much as my 360, I Also wan't to build another one, I've already made another IDE cable with 5 conectors.
( Got one with 6 in my current case )

Long live the box.
