hey im quite new to this and was wondering why when i turn on my xbox i get an error 21 instead of it booting to my dashboard (UnleashX). I softmodded it and did what the tutorials said to do and i went to the softmod section on the aid 2.11 disc and installed the dashboard to E: only way i can get to the dashboard is with the aid 2.11 disc in the xbox when i boot up..then i have to click on boot dashboard then i boot it from E: and press the a button and then it brings me to unleashx...and when i play a rom off any of the emulators and i want to go back to the menu, i get an error 21, so then i have to restart my xbox again if i want to play a different emulator...i just want to know what im doing wrong and what i should do so that i dont have to keep the aid 2.11 disc in the xbox and just boot up to unleash x on boot...

what disc is it a cd-r cd+R and the meaning of 21 is Typically means you're missing .dip files on your c: Drive or you have .xip's from a different (wrong) dashboard version. To fix simply restore a complete backup of the c: drive.

hmm so you're saying go to the "softmod section" on the Aid 2.11 disc and go to "install dashboards" and then install unleashx on my C: drive?

"Use the "Create C Backup" option to backup your C drive. To back up the Eeprom you'll need to use the Evolution X dashboard. The Eeprom backup is stored at C:\Backup (this can't be changed unfortunately) so please remember this." by DJB

Hi phistyle Smile

Cheers
