Hi, im new here. I finally found the newest Evox iso. I have been trying to *hotswap my xbox harddrive but it's not working. First, I turn my xbox on and wait like 5-10 minutes. Then I unhook the IDE cable from the xbox hd and hook it to my computer. When I boot up it shows my Computer hd as primary and for the other drives (not on same IDE cable as my hd) the primary one has the xbox hd (nothing else is on the IDE cable). Now after it shows that I think my computer tries to boot from the xbox hd and it said Drive I/O Error (that's all I saw, it lasted for 2 seconds) and then it botted my harddrive. When I got into Windows 2000 I went to My Computer and the xbox hd wasn't there. I ran hd_driver.exe (I'll attach it to show you what it is) but it said Xbox hd wasn't found and it closed. Now, if there is no way for my xbox hd to be hotswapped, then is there a way for me to take one of my extra 4 gig computer hd's and install evox on it and plug it into the xbox and it will work? Plz help, I want to play my Italian Halo because I bought it in Italy. Thanx
I already did but that tutorial is for replacing a hd, not what I want to do. I want to know if I can format my pc hd (one of my extras) and install Evox from the pc.

You can't run a xbox from a HD in a pc. You can use AID to install evox to your HD, but it will have to be done from the xbox. If you use the hotswap you can put whatever you want on your HD. _________________

plz explain with more detail. I'm not trying to run the xbox hd on my pc. I just want to know a way to install evox on the xbox or one of my extra hd's.

You need to have the hdd IN the xbox in order to install evox. You would just do another softmod on whatever hdd you want and install evox using SID and install evox and the apps, but the hdd needs to be in the xbox.
I'm not a softmodding expert, but if its not in the xbox you can't use the gamesaves to softmod. _________________

Hi All,
I've softmoded over 10 xboxes so far. I easy way is using the game explot and SID. Then use AID to load all the apps. But when I've had to soft mod two to three xboxes I've used my PC and Xbox Hard drive Maker 1.9. This app is available as a VIP and will let you clone a HD or setup a xbox HD from scratch from your PC. It comes with a Readme file to explane how.

ok, im confused. the only way i can mod an xbox is hotswapping because i only have 1 xbox game so i cant use the game exploit or whatever. I want to know how to hotswap it and install evox. can someone plz post a **DETAILED** tutorial on it or have a link to one, thnx

thank u so much for all yall's help. This softmod evox will let me play halo pal on ntsc xbox right??
edit : ok i read the tutorial but wut do i do with the evox.iso exactly? it says put msdash in xboxhdm\linux folder and it will replace the files. would i just delete the files and put the evox.iso there? also in the tut, on #9 it says when the light starts flashing to remove the xbox ide cable and plug in the pc ide calbe, is that for the disc drive or hard drive?? Now, on my comp, on #11, do i boot from the disc i burned or the xbox hd or wut?? thnx _________________ My Specs
