hi, im new to xbox modding.
but what i did, got the xenium ice chip, installed it without any problems. and got myself a 200gb disk. installed avalaunch.
fooked around abit. suddenly i managed to format all drives with the auto-installer deluxe 2 bootdvd, and there is even more! i managed to delete two things in the launch menu in the xenium splash screen, now i the dvd wont boot into the autoinstaller deluxe main install screen! how do i get things to boot?
now when i try to boot it with the cd it comes up error 16(xbox clock error) (i dont think it tryes to boot the dvd anyways)
anybody got any ideas?

Turn on the xbox with the eject button. That will get you to the xenuim os. If you have deleted your bios go to "add Item" from the "launch menu" and select "flash". Select the prompt where you have a copy of the bios file (most likely a cd since you formated your hdd. AID has a bios folder with the different bios's. Since you have a 200 gig hdd, look for something that has 137+ in it. That mean the bios supports hdd's larger than 137gigs. Once you have the bios installeed you will be able to boot off of AID on you xbox. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

so what i do is burn the little bios file on a DVD-RW? m8_16.bin and nothing more? i got the v1.6 xbox

yup exactly what dangermouse said....you can do a search for the iceguide on the net for xeniums...its a very useful guide or go to teamxodus.com and get it from there...might be worth looking into....good luck man. _________________ Xbox V1.6

Hey All, after two days of not looking in the right direction, (reading stuff everywhere) I cannot seem to find what I know you guys will consider such a simple question!
Of my 3 softmodded xboxes, (ive been around, but still a noob lol) I want to flash the bios on one so I can make use of the 250gigs on the hd, as..you woulda guessed it... it is only showing 137gigs. So I need to use the AID 4.40 from www.aidtracker.com and Flash the bios... but which bios file, i for the life of me, cannot determine! haha, I fear I drove past the answer awhile ago in my searches.

Welcome to the HQ bro, you could have just started a tread instead of digging up this old one.
What BIOS are you running and have you tried checking for the lost space using xboxpartitioner?

Well, in the EvoX dashboard, i even tried the BiosCheck app, and it returned with HOMEBEW 0.90, everything below that was "unknown".
The box in question was soft modded by a friend, who is not sure of what BIOS is it either. He used the SID loader (it starts up if i use the eject button to power on the system), but I was going to use AID and re-do it if necessary, since the tutorials seem easier.
Please let me know what I have to do to figure out which bios

If the xbox is soft modded then there is no BIOS you just need to pop in xboxpartitioner and add the space to an F drive.

wohooo =D Doh, you were right in the first place.
I loaded up xboxpartitioner and it detected the free space available on F:\, and would make it available with a new format. Moved off my data, formatted, BAM! all space is now available!
