Well i when i was burning with my dvd decrypter all of a sudden the discs that are burnt will not be recognized. I am not sure what is going on. I tried IMGBURN which is the same pretty much as dvd decrypter but still doesn't work. I tried updating my burner with the firmware download but there is no update for it. I am really puzzled at the moment. Has anyone else had the same problem as me. I am hoping to get some help. I am really hoping that my dvd burning days aren't up

are u burning a dvd movie or a xbox game? If it is a xbox game, then ur pc should not recognize the disc. _________________

Did you by any chance by a new pack of disks when this started happening? I've bought some from the same Brand and same speed and all, and that whole pack not work in my xbox, then buy another pack and they work fine. If you changed brands, that's probably the problem right there. _________________

I had the same thing happen to me about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately it turned out to be my burner. _________________

I have been using the same discs it isn't a new pack. That sucks. I kinda figured that i was my burner. I have been burning xbox games. All the other ones work and lately all of a sudden now this one wants to mess up.

Oh yeah is there any reasoning behind the burner stop working. I mean is it because it was used to much or something. And if it is the burner what should i get that is really good.

Oh yeah and sorry about the missunderstanding. when i said that the disc was unrecognizeable i meant in the xbox. The xbox doesn't recognize it

damn, you sounds desperate, but i'll let you know on this really quick.
i assume you know how to make an iso from ftp'ing your files and using xbox iso authoring tools.
burn at 2x or 4x only, some will burn at 8x, but not all, find out what DVD drive your using and the Media (DVD-R/+R) that your using, not all media is compatible with all drives.
Example.
Memorex DVD-R will work on any of the 4 drives.
Imation DVD-R will only work on SAMSUNG and HL drives.
Imation DVD+R will work on all but SAMSUNG.
ILO will only work on SAMSUNG and HL drives.
see what i'm comming to, use Memorex DVD-R as they will work on any version of the Xbox with un-tweaked drives.
hopes this helps out on what your problem is.

I must have a very rare Philips drive, mine has read every disk I've ever tried to use on it, from no name silver topped disks, to cheap staples brands, to imation, to memorex, to maxwel, dvd+r dvd+rw dvd-r cd-r cd-rw all brands all types..... _________________
