Any time I have seen Error 07, it has been a bad hard drive.
Usually the HD doesn't spin up properly. You MIGHT try
hooking up the power to the HD to another source so that it
is already running b4 you turn on the Xbox. Make sure
the cable is in the right direction on both the HD and the
Xbox motherboard.

And like pirrup said, read the tutorial from start to end. His tutorials are really good.

i have followed the pirrup hotswap tutorial but if no mslogo appears or the green light doesnt flash at all on boot up only starts flashing red and green after about 30 seconds and shows servicing dcreen with error 7
i have checked my ide cable and swopped for my computers one and booted xbox on that and still error 7
and for that guy wh says post on asame thread as reply
i do sept no1 answers
