I got prob. i can put the games on my HDD, and play them from there, but if i burn them to a dvd i get the error "No default.xbe", i am burning tha files like data, do i have to create the iso then burn it to the dvd. to be more specific :
1.- unrar the iso
2.- extrac the iso to a folder on my pc
3.- patch the default.xbe
3.- ftp to xbox play from hdd
4.- burn to dvd.
from the hdd i can play the game no prob there. do i have to create the .iso whit cxbox tool?? _________________ Unleash X V.0.31.1207A

yes all files need to be burned from an iso
it sounds like you had an iso in step one, just burn it. _________________ .

ok., i did that but i still get the "No default.xbe" message, i used DVD decrypter at 4x , from a iso. that game those work from my HDD what could have gone wrong?

i smell downloadable warez.....
anyways, you don't need to patch your "default.xbe" if it's from a downloaded ISO (WAREZ COME PATCHED AS FAR AS I KNOW), you only need to patch if you are making your own copy from an original disc (THAT YOU ACTUALLY BOUGHT).
if you like the game, at least BUY IT. ppl that download games that are illegal, makes games more expensive, cause they are hardly sold.
company makes......let say 50 usd a game. and charts show they sold 1000, first day.
they expect the next day to less same or more, but no they now sell 500, cause 500 others are downloading from the first 100 ppl that bought the game just to put it on the net. so in the 1st 2 days, they loose 500 sales, at 50 usd each. and some pirates sell a copy of the game at like 3-10 usd, and they make money the companies should be making, this is the reason why we have really expensive prices

Pirate???, maybe...., i got that .rar from a friend, the rest are games i have and are the orig but i dont want to damage them since thay are SO EXPENSIVE like you say, i got kids i they dont take care of the disk like you or me.
so in a sense i am tryin to save my investiment. since here in Mexico the prices are 2 times the original cost ex. call of duty in us costs about $40 here in mx costs abost $80 to $90.

I can relate. I have the same issue. Besides the way I look at it, most folks do it to experiment then decide it's too much of a headache and start buying games again.
They are correct that the ISO has all that's needed when burnt to boot from the Xbox or install on the HDD. Burn at the slowest rate you can and preferably with Nero. It's never failed me. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I go to mexico quite often and i can tell you all about pirates and xbox.
1.- pirates chargin up to 150 usd for installing softmod with tons of roms and those aren't legal. lowest price for cheap Ltools hack is around 60 usd.
2.- pirates sell games from 10 usd to 15 usd (newer titles). burnt dvds.
3.- these guys are all about making money they don't even understand how things work, and for some reason when i was there, i was the only person who would upgrade hdd with softmods (thx to tutorials' like pirrups).
4.- i don't support piracy, but i do know how things are in mexico when it comes to prices, import costs, and income.
Mexico Facts.
you make minimum wage of 85 pesos a day, or salaried to 600 pesos a week (that's around 57 us dollars a week!!!). to buy an original game inside the country you must go to swapmeets or blockbuster, or one of the few places to buy them, at 150% to 200% cost of the original price(halo 1 is 80 dollars), and that's more than what break your back for in a week. this is why mexico relays on piracy, cause things are just outrageous, and it's illegal to have a gamestop like store .
now i'm basing my post on border city to arizona. as if you go more deep into the country, you'll find prices for pirate games alot cheaper.
Tepito (found arond the capitol of the country mexico city), you can buy pirated goods like: audio cd=10 pesos(1 dollar), psx games=20 pesos(2 dollars) xbox games=30 pesos (3 dollars), now these prices are cheap, but in massive sells.......think about it.

i know that, that is why i am here, to get help from you guys that know how to do anything to the console, i dont live near the capitol, have you been in baja? it is a little diferent from the big cityes, i dont know anywere that sells pirate games. and no one mod's the xbox here that i know so basicly i am on my own

I wish there could have been a way to keep cartridges, I never had a problem with the price of them as I still have nearly all the carts I`ve ever bought, All working (shame i cant say the same for all the cd roms),
There was never really an issue with piracy then - How many people actually had one of those zip drive things for the snes for example?
There is games out there for the xbox that would fit on a neo geo cart.
