Hi, I just FTP'd Jade empire to my pc, but it's 6.13gb and won't fit on a DVD-R. I just wanted to know how I could make it smaller. so far, I have thought of deleting "Demo", which is a Conker demo, "Spanish" and "Italian", but all together, they are still only together. Is there any way to downgrade the videos or can I just delete them? they take up about 2.95gb.
edit:ok, I did some more research and found out about that tutorial for downgrading videos (I didn't actually find the tutorial though, just someone asking where to find it). But, even if I had found it, I don't think Jade Empire would fit on a DVD-R even with the videos downgraded.
edit: I should probably mention that it's the special edition of Jade Empire, but I don't think that makes a difference.
edit: screw it. I'm gonna delete the videos and burn the damn thing.

ok, I was smart enough to do some research before I burnt it and I have downsampled the movies. It took 25 f*cking hours, but it's done. Now I just need to know if an extra folder in the "movies" folder will hurt. you see, I set RADVideoTools to dump the downsampled files in a folder called "Test", because I had been testing diffent settings and I couldn't be bothered making a new folder. anyway, I copied that folder to my F: drive and started to copy out the files and overwrite the originals, but explorer.exe crashed half way through.so I copied all the files from F:\test and checked that everything was still there and alright, which it was. now I cannot delete "F:\Jade Empire\movies\test\" as it gives me the awful "Cannot delete xxxxx: It is being used by another person or program" error. should I run chkdsk and check for errors or can I just leave it there?
edit: never mind, I deleted it in XISO.

great. A new problem. Alcohol 120% gets to block 48 (96 bytes) and hangs for about 3 minutes, then it gives me an error; "Cannot write medium - Incompatible Format". Should I try burning with xISO? please help, I'm running out of ideas and DVD-Rs.
edit: FIXXORED!! I remade the ISO with Qwix.
but, as someone probably says, "you fix a problem, you create a problem."
my laptop's HDD is FAT32 (at least, it is in that dress ) so I can't have files bigger than 2gb (or was it 3gb?). therefore, I can't have an ISO of Ninja Gaiden with the japanese movies removed. what would be the quickest/cheapest way to remedy this? I am willing to spend money, but not too much (I'm a student, so i'm pretty skint.) and I have been looking at those new 1gb thumb drives.
edit for that last edit: hmmm...I wasn't very clear. I have two computers, my laptop, which I am on now and my desktop PC, which can't get on the net or access networks (3 certified techies have already told me to reformat!) I want the 1gb thumb drive to get files off my laptop and on to my old PC (which has a 2 hdd's, a 60gb and a 120gb) to get ready for burning.
edit: shit. Jade Empire has no in-game sound at all. anyone else had this problem?
edit:ok, what I had done was made all the folders in the Jade Empire folder, then used 2 flash drives to transfer the 4gb to the other PC. I called the sound folder "sounds", but, according to the .ini, "jadedirs.ini", it's meant to be called "sound". It's burning the fixed ISO right now.
