As some of u know I had a problem with my soft mod (many to be exact).
But now its on the original ms dash and it wont load anything it just says I need an update from XBL.
So, I just bought a modded controller and dvd kit along with the Xenium solderless Spice!
What I was wonder was will the Spice chip help fix my problem?
I was told that a modchip would fix all my problems, is this true??

Hi,
Modchips are normally the easiest way to get your xbox system working again if you have corrupted it with softmod files.. So i would say YES!
With a modhcip no matter what error you get with the modchip turned off (well just about all errors) you can just turn on your modchip and Boot AIDeluxe to install and fix these errors.
With a softmod.. As soon as you get a errror or something your softmodded xbox can no longer boot HOMEBREW APPS and dashbaords etc so it makes thing harder to fix.
So, Get your modchip installed..
Then flash it with a bios and you should be able to use AIDeluxe no prob..
well since my ms dash isnt working how do i get on xbl??
do i redo the ms dash with my aiDeluxe cd i made when softmodding? _________________ Xbox v. 1.6

Exactly.. Once you get your modchip fitted and flashed your xbox will then let you boot as long as you have your modchpi turned on..
It will boot AIDeluxe in your DVDROM Drive of your xbox and you could reinstall the M$ dashboard to the c:\ drive and also install whatever else you want..
Its also much simpler to upgrade to a larger hdd with a modchip rather then a softmod..
ok....knowing I have this problem with my dash should I leave box with the already flashed bio on the chip or should I redo it with a better one?
And which One would be good?
I still want my UnleashX dashboard like I had with my softmod, is this possible?
I also need my msdash running with unleash....Can I do all this?
