Don't forget there is no such thing as a solderless install for a 1.0
You still have to break out the iron to remove the solder from the LPC.
I would honestly go with the Xecuter3, also b/c it has a 1.0 wire install bracket, allowing for use of the existing solder.
Just about as easy as solderless, also, you would have to solder the D0 but hey, it all about the same amount of work. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Not true for either.
I did a fully solderless install on my 1.0. Both for the pins and for the D0.
All I needed was a screw driver. Easiest install I've ever done. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

How did you remove the solder?
You still need all the makings just about. Even desoldering braid.
When I hear most people, general people, ask for solderless, they want a just plug in and play deal....they don't know to take into account that there is solder blobs in the holes.
Yes, I know there is a solderless D0 connection, I was just saying, if he went as far to desolder, or get a X3-like wire install method for 1.0's, he could just take the extra step to solder the D0.
Now, I know you are in a rush to Read/Post b/c of the hurricane and a fear of losing the internet, but, remember, you have to take all that into account.
People don't like the idea of breaking out the soldering iron, even to desolder.
They wouldn't call that a true "solderless option".

I never broke open a soldering iron.
No need. Just cleaned the existing solder with a Q-tip and alcohol then attached the solderless adapter. Plugged in the chip, the D0 is empty, so I just plugged it in and bingo. Loaded a bios or two and booted up. Burned some backup games for educational purposes only and bloom... one modded badass box. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

That sounds like the most c@$%-a-mamie set up.
You rigged that thing.
You just set pogo pins on top of Solder blobs, WTF? I can't see how that would hold it, despite the screw.
I am stupified, i just can't believe that works without a problem. And no its not do to a great chip designer, its do to sheer luck.

I don't have the xenium spice, but I do have the xenium ice. It is great in the fact that it is very easy to get it set up the way you want it. It has its own operating system and no external switches are required. The downside is it currently does not really have an lcd that goes along with it, if you want the lcd features, the x3 is probably the way to go, but than you have to deal with actual switches for your bios (more confusing).

After your first flash with the X3, you don't need the switches anymore (which isn't too confusing), the x3 has a software based bios switch and naming ability, in the hacked bios menu, X3Config Live.
You can flash bios' via FTP (which is super easy) after you get your first x3 bios on there. You can flash other bios' on there if you need to.
Even an eeprom Backup. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Same exact thing I did. As a matter of fact, I even ate a sandwich while installing it. Is that easy or what...YOU CAN DO IT!!!! _________________

Best DVD drive is probably the Samsung. Being that you have a v1.0 you probably have a Thompson.(Sorry)
