how much is a new tv, this cost under £10, the quality is perfect on any setting because the h sync and v sync are derived from the signal input and outputed to vga. so yes it outputs at whatever its receiving but converted to vga. i could have fitted a ADC chip in but that would push the cost way up and i doubt wether anyone wants to solder an 82 pin chip at home.

but thanks for the concern Smile

Well he said he was going to buy one, so I suggested he got component.

Have you tested 720p through that?

as i said the circuit accepts all input frequencys.

All outputs work. and the rgb is analog output coz im not puting a ADC chip in . My point for this device was to convert rgb to vga.

Full quality testing is up to the user as in not going to spend all my time with this.

I can tell you that the picture is flawless on the plasma i use. Its not a HD one.

I am working on a Digital A/V scaler/switcher unit using a chip from the Phillips range. same as the one on the geforce 6600.

so if your looking for some real quality that can do more than you can shake a xbox at then watch this space.

Huh, odd, I thought the options for 720p were only enabled once you plugged in a component cable.
