hi, i'm new to the whole sofmodding stuff, and i'm here to ask simple questions, but that i don't know the answer of, i currently have an xbox with mod chip, but i'm gonna sofmod a couple for my friends and so far i'm gathering information to stuff i don't know, or can't find anywhere.(mb i don't look deep enough)
well, to my questions.. thx in advance for those who help
1.- when i use SID, it's softmodded, but what exactly is the MS dashboard+softmod+nkpatcher in the AID CD? does it make it kinda like an XBE exploit to avoid live loop, and other stuff? or is it just there so i can use the compatible MS dash with the modded dash?
2.- out of all the stuff included in the iso, i find most usefull, except for some emulators, but i want to know, when i use config magic, does it affect my eeprom or hdd?
3.- related to question 1, if AID doesn't do the XBE exploit, that means i must do that on my own, correct? and if i do, should i use UXB or UDE2?

let me see- i can help you out here-
1. This makes it possible to run a Hacked dash and still be able to run the MS dash, this in NO WAY makes it safe for you to play on Live. Live will pick up any of your mischeif and BAM! ban city. I personally have 2 boxs- Mod and one un-mod (FOR LIVE!!)
2.In a sense- both- It changes your EEPROM to your Hard drive if you want it to- this is mostly used for putting new drives in This is something you shouldent play with untill you get a little more into modding, and know EXACTLY what you do Otherwise, im not to familer with this sort of stuff (EEPROM and such) This is more of a question for Shortacid.
And hey, Emulators are cool...right?
3. This is correct, it dosent-
I personally favor UXB for Font stuff!!!

1.- thx for the answer, and yes i know mod+live=ban, i've done my research on stuff b4 i ask .
2.- i'll be a bit more specific........if i use config magic to format new hdd for another xbox,using the other xbox eeprom on the data folder, will this affect only the hdd, or will it affect my xbox eeprom as well. i got restore eeprom stuff on my modchip and i can fix stuff, but i still need more info on this.
3.- UXB is it, i'll look into it........is it Krazies installer the one that has this?
