All right Here is my story but take it easy I am new to the moding business
I got an Xbox end of 2004 /early Jan 2005 Played Halo 2 on it and packed it up because the kids had the ps2 to them self I have only found out that the xbox and be moded to do a lot more than play games
so I went and got my self an Xecuter 3ce mod chip but because my box is a version 1.6 and I donot really know how to solder I bought the chip with the bloody spider non solder adapter which was a toaotl pain to install also found out that to install those bloody legs you need a magnifying glass
any way I broke the bloody things legs so I tried to solder it and thats when I fuckedup my Mother board now the all I get is the xbox resets it self three times then gives up
Any advice will be well apreciated ... it is it not too late for the xbox

Hey welcome, its cool your new there are lots of people just finding out about modding weather its for there 360 or the original XBox!!
Now, how many lights do u have lit up on the adapter/chip? the chip SHOULD have 2 BLUE and 1 RED/GREEN(red=flash protect on green=flash protect off or the other way around). What you are experienceing is fragging, wich is most likly caused by the D0.
Now if your D0 is connected correctly its def the chip weather its messed up or didnt come with flash bios.

Yes please I will like a matching sig
as for the lights at first I had both light on the chip coming on before I put back my disks ie one blue and one red toward the swich at the back of the chip
I also had a front panel with one long oblong button and 4 round buttons the oblong button was red and the others were blue
but when I connected it to the tv it tried to power it on it would switch it self off 3 time before finally coming up with contact M$ customer services
and an erro code 13 or 12 which I looked up which was something about the DVD drive so I put every thing together but the fornt panel will not light up at all and it booted straight into the M$ dash
So I took it apart again and then switched the box on with every thing connected now all I got was one blue led on the chip the one next to the switch at the back will not come on.
then I noticed from the docs that I had to do the rebuild PCB which I tried it think this is when I fucked up my motherboard all it does now is the eject button flashes red-green it try to start up 3 times then it gives up
I get no video it will not eject the dvd tray ecept if I remove the ribbon cable
I also came across an updated doc which reqired me to remove the rebuild PCB and then solder wires to the actual point on the mother board the red wire solder point one of the ends on the MB was not there _________________ "Oh no I have just f**Ked my Blo*** Motherboard"

im thinking its your D0 wich is y u need to rebuild because the 1.6 has no D0, make sure that u have your D0 on the chip connected to the D0 on the rebuild!!! _________________ Hotswap Tutorial|FTP Tutorial|HyperX Flashing Tutorial

I have had a mate of mine who has taken every thing back to it unmoded state and then tire to power it bcak on with out the mod chip in the box but it still will not boot in to the M$ dash board he recons I have totalled my MB _________________ "Oh no I have just f**Ked my Blo*** Motherboard"

ahhh, hate to hear that man!!!! But check this out, look at the classifieds area on the forum, people on here sell mobos, and ull probly be able to find 1 taht isnt a 1.6

Yeah It was the Xapter 3 that had 5 springy legs that was sent with the chip
I think my main problem was impatience when I opened up the box and found out that I could not make out the holes on the Mb. I should have just put every thing back together and gone to buy a magnifying glass, if I had done that probably I would have a moded xbox now and will be asking a different set of questions.
Any way there is no need ing over spilt milk is there
Thanks for the heads up guys I picked up a 1.4 Motherboard and PSU of ebay fro less than £50
