The guy who installed my modchip said all I needed now was a dashboard for the xbox. So I've been reading and researching trying to figure out my nest step. I have the xenium ice modchip with the halo special edition xbox (1.2) and am unsure how to go about getting a dashboard.... thats not the OS is it? First off you should create a signature like mine at the bottom of my posts which displays what version, hdd type, chip, etc that you are using to help us answer your questions better. You can do that by clicking Members at the top of the screen then My account and then my account again....then hit my info on the left and go down to where it says Signature. To start off we need to know if you have a bios. I am guessing you might not know what that is since you didn't install your chip and what not but if you go to your xenium screen and go to the launch menu....let me know what it says there, for instance mine says retail kernel--->which is the ms dash and then under it is says LBA48 which is my hacked bios (evox m8plus 137+)....In the meantime I suggest downloading AID 2.11. This program will help you a great deal while fixing your box up and everything. It has bios', dashboards, and a crap ton of great apps by a great guy from this site, DJB. You can download it in the vip section or via torrent. If you use torrent I suggest using azureus rather than bittorent but that is just me. So things you need to do before posting again:
1. Create a signature to the best of your ability since you might not know some of the stuff
2. Download aid 2.11 and unrar it
3. Decide if you want to use a dvd+r or cd+rw for burning
4. Download dvdecrypter if you don't have it already and nero
5. Read up on aideluxe.com so you have a clue as to what we are talking about
6. You should be set to post

ok.. It sounds to me like your basically setup ready to go.. You have your larger hdd installed so that means your bios is flashed on your chip too..
