I just installed a mod-chip (DUO X) and it came with the Xecuter2 BIOS already loaded. When i boot i see the blue xbox screen with the little "Xecuter2" logo below it. After that it goes into the normal dashboard. Im guessing i have to replace that dashboard? if so how? and which one should i get? im guessing i should go with the EvolutionX because thats what everyone is raving about.

Ok so i guess i really know what i need to do, i just want to confirm it with some one before i start poking around some more.

PS that D0 pin is the biggest (or smallest) pain in my arse

Yes, you could always download DJB's auto installer and let it do all the work for you. The fact that you already have your bios going is awesome. From what I understand the auto installer is a powerful tool to get your evox and other apps up and running.

For future reference, it can partition the hard drive and everything.

an auto installer is the simplest way to set up your xbox for everything you want it to do. And DJB's xbox-hq autoinstaller is the best out there right now.

It will take you through steps and install evox, partition your HDD, install apps and a lot more.
