Posted: Tue Jul 05, 2005 11:31 pm Post subject: How do you "clear cache dirs"
I made a new topic so that others could find this easier. I noticed that other people were asking about it as I was trying to find the answer. I guess I FTP the "F" drive folder over, or maybe the game, or MAYBE I dont know what I am talking about............. Could someone tell me what to do,
Thanks

To clear the cache directories, all you need to do is go into the E:\Cache directory and just delete the files inside using file explorer.

Ok I go to the "E" folder. Then I go to the folder named "CACHE". Inside this folder it has these files:
Do I delete all of these for all the games that I add to my harddrive to get them to play without any problems.
Thanks for your quick answer

You delete all of them. Also, if that doesn't fix the problem, sometimes i've noticed that the files stored on the x, y, & z drives can cause the same problems.

Start off by clearing the cache in the E:/cache and XYZ cache partitions _________________

Thank you! You've saved me hours of searching for a solution, and a lot of cursing at the xbox.

AWESOME!!! THANKS!!!
Ok very easy with deleting the files on the "E" drive in the "Cache" folder and now Conker is working with no problem.
However when I put "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" onto the HDD it is doing the same thing and going back to the "Evolution Dashboard" after I try to boot it off the HDD.
....So I did like you said and went to the "X,Y,Z" folders and ...well of course I have a couple of questions before I just start to delete files.
This is what is in the "X Folder"
-"GTA3.IMB"
This is what is in the "Y Folder"
-"DATA FOLDER"
-"Audio Folder"
-"Bundles Folder"
-"Global Folder"
-"Movies Folder"
This is what is in the "Z Folder"
-Nothing, there are no files in this folder
Do I delete all the files and folders in "X Folder" and "Y Folder" or do I only delete certain ones?????
Thanks

Check your evolutionX settings because i had to set mine to NTSC on game region instead of default. Also TSR needs to be set to normal. There was forum topic on this problem, let me try to find it.
