Hey,
I'm FINALLY finishing up my box (it will be up on the site as soon as its done). Anywho, I removed the lower/bottom shielding for ventilation / look and I m getting lines going across my tv screen like static kinda with both digital input and rf adapter. Does anyone know why this would be happening? Do i HAVE to KEEP the bottom shielding, I didn't think i had too. Would my computer / wireless signal be interfering? What ideas do you guys got?
SOMEONE PLEASE Reply!! _________________ Blue Chaos

yeah that could be the problem... the sheilding is to keep electromagnetic waves from leaving and entering the xbox. so the em waves in the xbox stay in and the em waves outside the xbox stays out.

ok well since some people have problems and some dont. I'm just gonna take metal shears and cut off the top of the bottom shielding so it looks like there is no shielding lol. Since obviiously we can't figure out the problem. damn ok i was just wondering if anyone knew what was being interrupted. _________________ Blue Chaos

i just got the sides off with a handheld circular saw and it tore right thru it in 3 minutes lol. well anyway it works fine now but i still dont understand why some boxes work without it and some have to. or whether or not it depends on the surroundsings. _________________ Blue Chaos
lots and lots of people take the shield out (myself being one of them). the sheilding is a regulation that has to be followed if the xbox is the be manufactured. however, if you sit the xbox close to the tv there is a good chance it will interfere with it. _________________ wetbox rusty pc
