I just got a friend to softmod my Xbox for me and now I have a bit o a problem.
First off I can’t figure out how to run a real copy of the game have (kotor2 and when I put it in the DVD drive and try to play it, it wont run. And when I try to run it form the (play game / media from DVD) option from the evolution x menu I get this message after the splash screen loads (this is an Xbox game disc. Please put it in your Xbox to start playing). When I try making a copy of it using dvd2xbox it says that it’s copied over and such, but when I go back to the evo x screen and select (play games from hard drive) there is nothing there. The exact steps I use when doing the dvd2xbox thing is (turn on Xbox>select launch application from the menu> select dvd2xbox >evo x splash screen comes up followed by the DVD 2 Xbox screen >I press (A) copy DVD/CD-R to HDD> select E:\games\ > (start) proceed > then the copying files thing comes up and it takes like4 sec and its done> it ejects the DVD from the Xbox> and in file manager where I installed it, it only has the new dirc with video_ts in it. I’m trying to figure out how to get games onto the HD ether by copying the games from the DVD or ftp, but I can’t get ftp to work ether. also just being able to run normal games i bought would be nice too. i was just trying kotor 2 to see if i could get a game onto my xbox, since the FTP thing wasent working for me.I’m sure it’s something simple, but I’m simpler lol any and all help would be appreciated.

I found out the prob with the dvd2xbox thing. It was just the game for some reason kotor 2 would not go over, but I tried a couple of my other games and it worked. So I’m thinking it’s just the cd lol but all of the other games worked (fable, mech assault, kotor 1). And the ftp thing I still don’t know lol I probably don’t have a network card and thought I did. I’m using my cable connection thingy for the high speed net. I just unplugged it from the cable modem and into my Xbox. I tried cute ftp and some other ftp program.
Hmmmm.. interesting .. while going into my xbox to check the version of the dvd2xbox thing I got a message saying the skin I choose was fucked and that I had to reconfig it or change it but I cant get to the menu to change it. YAY another problem for me ... wait nm lol i just messed around with some stuff and restarted it and now its back to the old probs lol just ignore the skin thing lol. restaart solves so amny probs in the world lol
and to the version question... it says im useing evolutionX V+393 then my tv cuts it off if theres any more to it and my dvd2xbox. version is 0.6.3
