I put in the Auto - installer 1.1 into my softmodded box and installed a new hacked dashboard from the menu. Everything was fine until I hit the "install ms dashboard" by accident, there was no conformation- just started installing. now all I get is the screen of death with the error code 21.
Normaly this would be no problem, just reload my mech assult linux save and start the softmod over. HA HA well... my kid must have deleted or over rote my mech assult linux save because when I tried, it wasn't there. NOW WHAT? please help.
Maybe directions on how to hookup to my PC or such. thanx in advance.

Hi talmen,
Hey don't panic. You can rebuild the drive with XBHDM. Put the drive as primary master and make sure it is the only HDD connected. Step by step instructions to rebuild the drive.

can you be more specific? What is " XBHDM"? is this a program? is it posible to point me in the right direction like maybe a link or some step by step instruction? thanx in advance.
OH !! almost forgot- now i remembered how I messed up my xbox. After My mod was all done and tested, I put in the Auto-installer 1.1 and installed some other dashboards to check them out. Then when i wanted to restore my box I couldnt. somehow it hid the mech assult linux game save. the game save will not show up, and when i eject the game it goues to the screen of death with the error code 21. I tried usind 2 different PC DVD roms to load up but no luck.

Hi,
XBHDM is Xbox Hard Disk Maker 1.1 It is a program you can get from the usual places. With it you can rebuild a retail HDD. It also allows you to Lock/Unlock the drive and many other things. Hope you don't have too many game saves on the drive cus you may loose them. Hope this helps.

As far as I can tell you don't even need to be a VIP to download, I just clicked on the link, entered the passcode and downloaded it no problem (I don't even need it, was just testing for you)... not sure if the VIP downloading section is broken or that is open for all members, but either way you can download the XBoxHDM 1.9 no problem from the link provided above.
