Well,my problem is that all of a sudden,my Xbox isn't able to read that its hooked up to a router.I used to go on xbox live all the time and it just stopped working.I got a new cord because I thought the other one had messed up but it still doesn't work.I also bought an Xbox wireless adapter and it also can't read that its hooked up to an Xbox.I have no idea what happen to my Xbox, cause theres nothing else wrong with it.
I was wondering If I should take it apart or something and take a look but im not sure, cause I don't want to mess anything up.I called Microsoft and they have no suggestions besides sending it in to get it fixed for about 80 dallors and I just don't have that kind of money right now. It's been driveing me crazy cause I really have no idea what I should do,so I need all the help I can get.Thank you for takeing the time to read this

use a multimeter to test the electronics (mainly resistors) near the port
replace the ones without continuity
I would like to upgrade mine to gigabit...anyone have suggestions?

it is pretty straight forward to fix once you have bought the new part just replace it with the old one putting everything that was in the old one in the new one.
