Well, I used to do this to cars and things like that, but worked out that it looks decent on an xBox as well.

We'll turn this:

Into this: (Or something similar)

Download the attachment, I'll be using this as my base for my image (and is probably one of the easiest/best for you to do so as well.)

Okay, so open it up in photoshop and select the polygon selection tool:

Select all of the areas that you want coloured, here's what i did:

Note that I actually deselected around the xBox sign, and the jewel.

Now, once you have everything selected, grab a normal brush, make it big and switch the Mode to Soft Light. This will mean you'll need to go over your box a few times before getting the desired colour, but I think it looks better and more realistic in the end. Here's how mine is halfway through the first layer (just like actually spraying your xbox... almost)

Finish off your painting everything until you're happy, then simply deselect the selection, save it, and work from there. Mine turned out to be pretty bad for the example, but oh well..

With a bit of playing around, you can get some LEDs installed using Photoshop!

Note: that last image was from a fair while ago, and the LEDs are simply an outer and inner glow. (Perhaps they could've been done a lot better)

Anyway, not bad for a photoshopped xbox hey!
