Softmodded a friends xbox. installed a larger hdd. but i cant get the network to work. if i set it to dhcp in avalaunche i get error behind the ip adresse. and when i set it to static, i cant connect. anyone hava a solution?

What are you connecting to the xbox with? Are you using a router or switch? If you are connnecting directly from xbox to pc then you will need to use a crossover cable. _________________ Xbox v1.3

i am using a crossover kabel. the kabel works fine from my own xbox to flashfxp. but not with the softmodded xbox. just wondering.
do i have to add the englishDHCP addon file to the iso to get it to work?

tank´s for the guide. but i do know how to set up a networ. my problem is that i have 2 xboxes. 1. hard modded, and one softmodded. both xboxes are running avalaunche, have the same system and network settings.
The hard modded xbox connects with no problems. so i switch the crossed network kabel from the hard modded xbox over to the soft modded but the xbox refuse to connect. thats my problem. so i was just wondering if there where any known issues about this.
Have tried the same thing in evoX and unleashX, but still no go.

when you plug the crossover cable into the nic in the xbox does led on the nic light up on your xbox nic and/or your pc nic?

i got a box like this also i cane to the conclusion that the xbox nic was shot i even put in a mod chip to check so when i put stuff on its all from disc
