i've been set up for a while, so my ftp'ing skills have diminished quite a bit. i was going to update some items and use the xbox saves manager, however, i can't get the xbsm or flashfxp to work. i have turned off the ftp server on the xenium menue and have it turned on in the evox settings. my information after using cmd ipconfig/all is:
ip address: 192.168.1.100
subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
def. gateway: 192.168.1.1
dhcp server: 192.168.1.1
dns servers: 66.190.172.2536
209.186.12.3
my router has given my xbox an i.p. of 192.168.1.101, which i entered into the settings screen of evox along with the other info above, then save and exit. i am still getting "unable to resolve host 192.168.1.101" and for the life of me, i can't remember what i'm leaving out. any help guys? _________________ xbox v. 1.0

hi,
just make sure you have STATIC=YES (or true) cant remember..
But thats the main thing.
You are in the same range as your ROUTER and PC so it shoudl be working fine..
First i would disable all firewalls and do a ping like this:

ping 192.168.1.101
Just use the command prompt to do it.
You will get a reply once it see's your xbox.. Its very simple to understand.. Reply means the xbox is present and Request Timed Out means it cant be found.
Once you can ping the xbox you will be able to FTP.

Firewall was the issue for the xbox saves manager, it worked fine after i disabled zone alarm...flashfxp still not working correctly...this thing is crazy. _________________ xbox v. 1.0
