Im using a seagate 120gig HDD, and I cant play a lott of the newer xbox titles. The games will just lock up at the start menu, but I they will work on the OEM drive. Is ther some kind of patch that I need to play games on an upgradded drive? _________________ XBOX 1.6

Are you running it from the HDD or the actual disc. If from the HDD, what app did you use? _________________

It happens when I run from the HDD or the DVD. I used dvd2xbox to install the to the drive. _________________ XBOX 1.6

I had that happen to me a few times. Dvd2xbox was not putting them in the right directory. It would create one that said dvd2xbox/ then the name of the game. Check to make sure that they are in the right directory, be it E: or F: _________________

Everything is were it should be. The game will boot up, but when it gets to the start menu of the game, it will lock up. It doesnt matter if I run the game from the dvd or if I install it to the hdd I get the same problem.
The games will only play from the factory hard drive. _________________ XBOX 1.6

Just delete anything is the E:/cache folder to start with. If that don't clear it up, delete everything on the x,y and z drive.

But do not delete your UDATA and TDATA folders...
What I would also do is flash your machine with a different bios. I have seen this happne many times.

BTW, your Xenium Ice Operating System should just clear cache for you. If not, you can upgrade to a newer OS and have it do it for you.
I see you have the 1.6 machine. Are you sure you do not have 1.6b...either way, I would jump to the M8plus.

Killer bios MG, but im still have problems runnig a few games from the hdd. Republic commando, ESPN football 2k5, and call of duty still will not work while booting from the hdd. is there a patch that I need to play certain games from the HDD. At least Halo 2 works now. The three games listed are the only games that I am Having problems with. Thanks for the Bios I really dig the boot screen _________________ XBOX 1.6
