Does anyone know of a forum that could help me out with modding my PS2. I am thinking about just adding 120gig drive. I am looking a just getting a swap mod. Does anyone have any input on what works best for them?

if it is the old big ps2 all you need is 3 things:
HD Advance 2.0 $30 bucks
Maxtor harddrive although you can research by typing ps2 harddrive compatability on google to find all that can work. I got 200 Gb maxtor off ebay for $120 bucks including shipping.
Lastly you need the network adaptor to connect the harddrive to the ps2.
I got everything I needed off ebay for like 170 bucks and my ps2 has like 20 games on it. That I own of course. They load faster and never get scratched.

You can still use a hard drive with the slimline, just get an external USB drive and a copy of USB extreme (original)
I would rather have a modchip tho so you can play backups of the disk, I hate the whole swap thing.
Usb extreme and HD advance won;t work with all versions, I would get a matrix chip and then get the HDD and burn a copy of HD advance, ppl are releasing their own patched versions now to play the likes of GT4 etc
