Hello all
I flashed my xecuter 2 chip with the 4981.06 BIOS and now when I try to boot, it goes on and off 3 times and then flashes red & green. If I turn off the modchip and try start it I get the service needed screen. What do I do? _________________ XBOX 1.0

Sounds like your Bios is corrupt. Did you check to make sure the size of the bank you were using was correct for that BIOS? If you have a Lite chip, you'll need to get a programer...if you have a Pro then you can reflash it or use another bank.
In the future, do not flash your chip unless you really need to, unless you have several BIOSes on your chip and you can easily change banks if something goes wrong. _________________ XBOX v1.5

First try to move your chip around a little. Lost of times, the Xecuter will show the yello LED when it is not lined up right. Second, if the bios is corrupt, you might be able to use the ozxflash utility. If that doesn't work, you'll have to do a hotswap of the chip or flash it with the exertnal flasher that you can buy from www.system-mods.com. I have the x2.3b lite+ and it only worked half the time until I installed some header pins, since then I've had no problems. The lights mean nothing except you have juice running to it.. It did the the same thing hard on, hard off, 3 time the FRAG. As a side note the x2.3 lite needs a 512 bios, and buying a a programmer is worth it..
