Hi all,
Just wondering how many of you are anticipating the xbox2.. I know alot of guys are still just discovering the original xbox but was wondering how many are instantly going to get a xbox2 when they are released??

I agree that it will kick some major ass!!! The hardware it will have is more powerful than most peoples home PCs. I wont be buyin it until the price drops ...and from what I have seen it will need to drop alot before I buy one. The console will probably sell for $400-$600 USD.

Well i know its supposed to be more powerful than some pcs but i dont think they will sell it for that much i think that if they do they will not do that well profit wise because their target audience arent millionares lol.if they sell it for more that 350 ill wait until a price drop im quite happy with my xbox _________________ Xbox Version 1.6

1) its not going to be cheap... just take alook at the hardware.
2) they arent just going to target gamers this time... the xbox2 will be a very powerfull media center. it has the hardware to do it... or atleast i hope that is what they learned from all of the modding everyone has done to xbox.

I agree, although we get a lot more value out of our modded machines. Until the Xbox 2 is able to be modded the only value is playing what MS intends on being done with this machine.
Regardless, I will preorder as soon as possible. Like the PSP, DS, and all the latest little gadgets to come out I always have to get my hands on one, if not just to try and then quickly get rid of if I don't see value in keeping it. Even for those who are money strapped you could always buy one and just check it out, then about four days before rent is due, pop it up on Ebay...lol.
My interest in Xbox 2 is purely "I just got to see it for myself". Because I have no time to game there is no real value to me, except to see if I can chip it when the time comes. They could sell it for $800.00 and I'd still buy one as soon as it comes out. Just don't tell my wife

yeah i am the same way about new anything pc or game related... and since i am money strapped at times ill try to preorder one from bestbuy and when i get it ill test it out then ill return it before the 30day return policy is up. lol ive done it bofore and ill do it again. im the reason you get good deals on open items at bestbuy.

I'm going to say I'm waiting till the price drops as well but the reality is I'm probably going to get one. If anyone knows a surefire way to convince a wife that it will be a good idea please let me know. She's still quite angry about the money I spent on modding this box and I havn't even put a hd in it, something about bills, whatever those are...

I have to agree that all the hype around the next gen box says it fairly quick and powefull, not to mention the rumours that they just more than doubled the original RAM spec for it.
I can't see the price being too far out of reach for your average man though, that would be highly detrimentall to sales and world domination (something M$ lives for) I think MS will keep the price as low as possible to make it the preferred choice for non-XBox 1 customers to be drawn in, at the end of the day it's mainly the price of the console that attracts most people.
Whatever they sell it for I'll be pre-ordering and have it's guts all over the work bench by the afternoon in an attempt to see what makes it tick and how easy it is to tweak/ugrade and chip.
Why can't MS just sell a chipped version for the Modding world!

You know the price will drop in the first 6 to 12 month's. But you want one and alway's talk your self into buying one. When you see then games for some reason you have to play then NOW even though there still good games coming out for the xbox 1 and if your mate get's one before you he's just a flash git.lol
