Okay, who is passing my childhood pics around....isn't anything sacred these days??

That pic was taken when my preschool teacher asked me to spell cat.

sounds like you guys have the clear jewel thing figured out.

i just wanted to add that after i sand the xbox jewels down i like to use a tripple thick spray paint clearcoat. this fills all of the little scuffs, scratches, swirls, ect. and gives a crystal clear (almost glass like) appearence. plus it cuts out all that polishing. i have 2 jewels here ill see if i can get some pics.

I will have to try some gloss on the ones I thought I ruined!

That kid is hilarious, his dad must be a real hot head if the kids got that kind of passion!

A good way to save the skin on your thumbs is to wrap masking tape around them. Svaes the skin all the time.

Do you mean to put masking tape on the back end with the goo or foam tape to take it off?
I tried that one time when I was working against the foam tape with no luck, though I never tried it against the goo.

I mean wrap the tape around your thumb and then use your thumb to rub it off. The tape is to stop from rubbing your skin off.

I just removed my jewel a few days ago and all i did to get all the foam and paint off was my dremel. I just used teh wire wheel and used the lowest setting and everything came right off no problem.
