I melted small spots on 1...whoops...I dont have that extender so it is spinning pretty fast!
I got the others done but I can still see where I polished after 3 tries.

Do you mean you want to know how to fix the burn? Thats what Im assumming you are saying
Take some thicker grit, I used 50, sandpaper.
Just get a strip and use a corner to sand in a circle where you burned a small dip in it. when you cant see the white burn you are done.
Now get a cleaner corner and lightly sand it to smooth it out a little. Next take that 400 grit sand paper, sand then wetsand and repeat the whoe polishing deal.

I forgot about this, I have actually seen two tutorials mention the use of toothpaste (not the gel kind) to polish the jewel.
Man, floss to take it off, toothpaste to clear it. I am ready to get my Xbox dental coverage....lol.

yeah I had tried tooth paste & it didnt work out too well.
