I have a Version 1.0 Xbox and am trying to install xbit (1.5). At first, I couldn't tell any difference, By posts I figured out it wasn't installed right (duh... right?). So after some serious repositioning attempts, I finally got it to boot up, shut down, boot up, shut down, boot up and then flash green a couple of times, then frags. I've tried a LOT of different bioses. Here's a few of them:
Evox X-chip Bios
Evox 2.4-2.5 colormod blue
Dominion X 0902
Elite X Version 1.1 final 4034
Evox M7
Evox M8Plus
Evox 2.6 - 1.0
iND-BiOS.5003
and Multiple others.
Any help anyone could throw my way would be greatly appreciated; Even if it's just pushin me in the right direction. Thanks.

hi magroin,
Ill shoot maddogtime (our fto admin) a email to see if he can help.. I remember he added quite a few tutorials to the site when he fitted his XBIT quite a few months back..
heres some links and other info i have found for you that may help:
XBIT INFO:
The XBIT has a 2MB flash which can store a single 2MB flash or a mix of 256k,512k or 1MB BIOS files (Possible total of six combinations). The chip has a Completely solder free design, using spring loaded pins and a screw, providing fast, reliable and idiot proof installation. This device is Compatible with V1.0, V1.1, V1.2, V1.3, V1.4 and V1.5. Included, a built in programmer, for sending flash files from PC to MOD. So you can flashable before installation (naturally, the chip supports multiple bios). If you have soldering skill, you can also use the connectors with pre-prepared wire. The chip has a disable and enable switch, a MOD status LED indicator and a Mini USB connector (for flash file transfer) on an external “control panel”. The chip also has an optional eject switch reset.
Heres the installation instructions from the creator of the XBIT.. Im sure they will be useful...

Wow,
That was a speedy delivery, there. And those guides were actually how I installed it (pogopin install). But the info that it is definitly not seated correct is the best news I've gotten in a while, I've been workin on finding a Bios that would work forever now. I had heard the xbit wasn't too bios friendly. Thanks, again for the quick reply, and thanks in advance if you can get those seating install tuts.
Thanks again.
