The evox.ini configuration file line mentioned in an old forum thread here:

    Flash = 0x9000,"Winbond W49F020T",0x40000

to identify a Winbond W49F020T flash memory chip is incorrect.

The value of 0x9000 is wrong in two different ways:

  1. When the TSOP flash memory chip on the motherboard is not write-enabled, the value returned for the manufacturer and device ID will be the first two bytes of the Xbox BIOS stored in the flash memory chip - 0x0900, not 0x9000.
  2. When write-enabled, this flash memory chip's device identification code is 0xDA8C

Did you mean W49F020T or W29C040T?

Does your Xbox have a Winbond W29C040T flash memory chip installed in it?

The flash memory chip's part number is not a BIOS. I'm not sure what you want to know about this chip.
