I have a PAL crystal xbox which I am sure is version 1.6 or 1.6b it was the first batch when they were released and I was under the impression all crsytals were 1.6 or 1.6b
I am trying to softmod my xbox and then at sompoint in future I will buy a new one probably premodded. I have original splinter cell got today and also have access to all the vip downloads.
What do I need to do I have read the tutorial "Ltools Installer for Easily Softmodding an Xbox" and copied all the files to my xbox as instructed but will this work on a 1.6 or not and will it screw up.

Update, Ihave managed to run the save game now and got the ltools menu. I selected the option to Backup and this backed up the hdd to a file on the hdd i presume and now I ma stuck as what to do next?

Right about what to do next I need to FTP to my xbox but cant do it how can I do this from the menu the save game hack loads to ip of the xbox is 192.168.0.3 static and Im connected through a router cant seem to do it using flash fxp?

A fellow softmodder myself. Use SmartFTP its better and easier. Under the location/login name type: xbox then for password type in: xbox. If you need any more help just message me, I check it often. Good luck!

Being that it has some questionable files in it, it had to be moved to the VIP download section, you can find it on xbins at /xbox/operating systems/linux/distributions/ltools/ _________________
