I must be slow and I'm sure there were discussions about this when Halo 2 first came out. I own the collectors edition of Halo 2 and decided it would be cool to do the HDD thing then store the original. Went to DVD2Xbox (the version included with XBOX-HQ auto installer) and did the usual. When done, Halo 2 would not come up on any of the dashboards. Explored the HDD and found that the file turned in to two files. It split the game and neither directory would boot to it. Did I somehow boo boo or what. Damn thing is idiot proof and yet this idiot can't back up to HDD. All other games are a walk in the park.
Help me Obi-wan Kanobi, you're my only hope. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I have the collectors edition as well. I backed mine up using PXHDDLoader. So maybe try that.
ttyl.
PS, I also backed up the French version with that program....no problems at all. _________________ SE Halo Xbox v1.4 :

What's strange is I set up tons of machines with the exact same setup as you, Xenium Ice, Evox 3935, M8 bios....used DVD2Xbox off of the HQ Ai, and have not had any issues backing up H2..
Now, I am only talking about the game, not the collectors edition.
Hopefully you'll get it squared away. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

The collector's edition is the same as the regular. It's just that the case is a bit more spiffy and it comes with an extra DVD with a bunch of stuff we didnt get in Halo2....no ATV, no flame thrower, and most of depressing....no online Co-op.....dam u Bungie!
::::prays that DOOM 3 will be a good game....cause it has online Co-op::::

Thanks Slamscaper. I will try PXHDDLoader and see if I can get it to cooperate. I still have no clue as to why it did that. The second folder had items that looked like a directory of a regular DVD,you know, one folder video, one folder audio. Read like a DVD movie rip. Uh, not that I would know what one would look like aside from reading about them of course. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Thats strange. I just had an experiment myself. I deleted Halo2 from my PXHDD Loader and tried with DVD2Xbox...what was odd it it loaded to the Bungie screen and then that was it. So I used PXHDD Loader once again and had no problems. So good luck man.

You aren't serious. There's a place I used to go called "IN & OUT Burger". I got ahold of the bumper sticker, cut the B & R off of burger so my bumper sticker read "In & Out urge"
Why I thought to share that is beyond me. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
