I've started to build my own skins
for UnleashX using the text editor
within UnleashX and would like to upload them so anyone can use them,
But size has become an issue.
The first skin i made is about 30MB
the second one about 80MB and the one
i made last night - less than 1MB
I was wondering if it would be better
if i removed all the video files and
included a text doc in the skins explaining how to put the Video (.xmv) files back pressuming the
user has a copy of the game that
they came from?
I dont wanna sound big headed but all
three of my skins look better than
any other skins that i have seen before ( about 6 hours of work on each one )

Im sure most of us could follow the instructions but there are allways exceptions. Plus if we downloaded the TXT file we would still have to DL the Vids right? IMO I think you should have them bundled up. I think ModGod or Forahobby would have a good answer on where they would rather you put them. I look forward to seeing them!! I LOVE a good UX skin.
My fav at the moment is Abstract 2, its wicked good! If yours is better youll have major props!

Yes i agree abstract2 is a good looking
dash skin, but it don't ave any info
on it like ip's and F drive space on
it.
mine are much better I think.
I'm gonna have to add all the info's
to That abstract2 skin later and maybee
upload that too.

I was thinking the same thing! It seriously lacks the info.
F: Size, G:Size, Temp, Time, and Track Info is what I think it needs most. I thought That I could easily put it in but then I thought about the fact you would have to put a semitrasparent background like the one on the menu to make it readable. Bah I cant do that! But dude, if you can that would be PIMPTASTIC!

I've just got both of the big skins
size down to just below 30MB,
zipped them up ready and included
the relevent txt Doc.
G DRIVE!....
Sh!t. forgot all about that.
I dont use a G drive so I never
Thought to include it.
aw well Ill get them up loaded as they are and make G drive versions l8r.
(a blank G drive would look toilet
for those peeps like me that don't
have them).

just been trying to upload my skins for the last 7 hrs and
i guess i`ll have to try again tommorow.
nice to see my defaulted2 got through tho.

I just found out that there is a problem with uploading files larger than 1.5MB, get in touch with Forahobby (I think ModGod can too) and they will hook you up with an FTP to submit it. _________________ -Scourge "Rx = +/_\"

Everything is cooooool.
I've managed to get my skins onto
the vip ftp server using my xbox.
I sat for hours trying to use the
pc to do the same thing, but it's
never been the same since it got
hacked by some wank@r who deserves
to have his/her legs broken for
the grief it has caused.
i found that in order to get on the FTP site via UnleashX you have to
modify your server list in U Data.
For some strange reason the user name doesn't have enough spaces,
The screen saver to has to edited
in the config.xml file too for the
same reason (if you want to have video.xmv files to run instead of
a stupid word bouncing around the
screen.
