I was just going through my account history with lik-sang.com a cool japanese electronics website and found the exact date when i purchased my first ever modchip..
The modchip i purchased for my xbox (first one) was the Enigmah-X and it was one of the very first modchips available to do what we are doing now (boot dashboards etc etc).. What a nightmare.. It had 29 wires and took me and a mate helping me over 3hrs to install it.. BUT, i must also say after going to all this trouble it still didnt support a LARGER HDD or bios flashing at all. hahah alol
heres the info from my order:
Order Status Order shipped (July 2, 2002 16:41:39)
1 Enigmah-X - Xbox Mod Chip (For Xbox™) $49.00 (~86.31 AUD) $49.00 (~86.31 AUD)
hahaha lol... Brings back the memories i tell ya!
Trying to get help from other forums and being slammed!
oh well, i just thought id show ya how liong ive been into modding xboxes for now.. Also the first xbox-hq.com website started in May 2002 when i learnt that there were modchips coming out.. I wish i had kept all the members and the content because we would certainly be the largest xbox modding website ever..

That's the best thing about this site. Everyone here remembers being a noob.
I was looking for some info at www.teamxecuter.com and noticed the very haughty tone and lack of willingness to help beginners by the majority of the community there. I think they've all forgotten what it's like to not know what you're doing.
I'm going to write a big long love letter to this site, counting all the ways I love it. Then I will PHYSICALLY love it.

I love running into people who flame noobs...I let them have it. I have a reputation on the other forums of bitching out people who flame noobs.
I just think it's silly that someone would rather spend ten minutes flaming someone rather than five minutes to help. That is truly why I got into modding. I wanted to make it possible for people without the knowledge and a ton of cash to get a mod.
When I heard the stories of modders in the mid west doing tsop flashes and telling people they chipped their machines I went and bought a soldering iron and solder.
